Our approach is the antithesis of the one where a big, expensive consulting firm throws a small army of unproven “experts” at a problem — the same approach that emphasizes billable hours instead of measurable results. Instead, our goal is to have our clients view us as an extension of their own team. We internalize their challenges and make their priorities our priorities. Chief Executive Officer
Prior to Hummingbiz, Joe Halloum founded Starmount Inc., a provider of omni-channel commerce products and solutions, in 2006 and served as its Chief Executive Officer until its acquisition by Infor in 2016. Halloum also founded Cascadera Inc. to focus on implementing retail store systems and sold this business to Logic Information Systems.
He served as the Vice President of Global Retail Engineering for Gilbarco, Inc. where he was responsible for Gilbarco’s global Retail systems, payment products and related platforms.
Prior to Gilbarco, Halloum served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at 360Commerce Inc., where he managed product development and quality as well as professional services. He has also held senior management and technical positions at National Computer Systems Inc., The University of Iowa, and Iowa State University.
Halloum holds BS degrees in Computer Sciences and Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and earned an MBA from St. Ambrose University.
Chief Financial Officer
Prior to Hummingbiz, Myron Mixon served as the Chief Financial Officer of Starmount Inc. Mixon has over 30 years of industry experience where he has held senior financial and operational positions, at both public and private venture-backed companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the State of Texas.
Senior Vice President of Engineering
Before joining Hummingbiz, Sudhir Madyastha was the Senior Director of Engineering at Infor, where he spearheaded the development of Infor’s Converged Commerce suite, focusing on customer engagement and mobility. Prior to Infor, Madyastha led the product engineering practice at Starmount.
Madyastha earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University and a Master of Technology from the National Institute of Technology in Karnataka, India.
Vice President of Services
With Joe Halloum, Michael Mann co-founded Starmount in 2006 and initiated the firm’s professional services practice while also leading multiple engagements.
As a co-founder at Cascadera in 2014, Mann assembled the firm’s development practice for implementations of the Oracle Micros XStore suite until Cascadera was acquired by Logic Information Systems in 2015. At Logic, Mann started and cultivated offshore development teams in Latin America, Asia, and Europe, enabling global growth without sacrificing quality. Mann was also one of the initial developers of the 360Commerce retail product suite, later acquired by Oracle.
Mann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rice University.
